What is it ?

It is a graphical mail notificator. Highly configurable , it give choice between several appearances and several languages.
It works with local mail or with a pop3 or imap4 server. It allows to configure the actions to run when receiving a new mail, and also for reading or writing mails.

What does it use ?

xbiff 2 is written in Tcl/Tk (v8.0 or more), so you can use it as is on many systems.

Xbiff 2 has been successfully tested on : Linux, Solaris, Windows 9x and Windows NT.

Here is four executable distributions ( or source, it is the same thing with Tcl ! )

• xbiff2-1.9-0.noarch.rpm RPM format for Redhat and other rpm users.

• xbiff2-1.9.tgz Gzip Tar format ( untar under / ).

• installxbiff2-1.9.tcl Unix auto-install tcl script ( just execute being root).

• winstallxbiff2-1.9.tcl Windows auto-install tcl script.
